Welcome to the Phosphate Facts Home Page
- Inorganic phosphates are compounds of phosphorus and oxygen
that occur in many forms and are usually combined with other elements -
e.g., metals such as sodium, potassium, calcium, and aluminum.
- Inorganic phosphates are present in all living organisms (animal
and vegetable) and are required continuously to support life since most
are essential nutrients.
- The Phosphate Forum of the Americas (PFA) was established in 1996
to provide a forum for information exchange on matters relating to
inorganic phosphates.
